MILLEN SISTER'S BIO
Sonya Ni’cole Millen and Sabrina Antoinette Millen, known simply asThe Millen Sisters, are singers, actresses, models and songwriters. They grew up in the small town of Vineland in southern New Jersey, near Philadelphia.
They later moved with their parents to Los Angeles to fulfill their dream of a career in the entertainment business.
From their earliest memories, these two identical twins have immersed themselves— not in the music their friends and classmates were listiening to— but instead in the soulful sounds of 60’s and 70’s era Philly Soul and Motown. While other girls their age were listening to the latest boy band, Sonya and Sabrina were singing along with vinyl releases by The Dramatics, The Impressions, The Emotions, Curtis Mayfield and the O’Jays.
When the girls were just ten years old, a nationwide talent contest sponsored by McDonald’s® landed them on stage in New York at The Apollo for their rendition of the Clark Sisters’ “Is My Living in Vain”.

Not long after the family moved to California, Sonya and Sabrina starred in one of the most unusual ad campaigns ever created. Produced by San Francisco’s famed Goodby, Silverstein & Partners ad agency as part of the California Milk Processors Board “GOT MILK?” campaign, the girls were cast as The Calcium Twins, singers and musicians in a mythical rock trio fronted by rocker Joe Hursley as White Gold, a wailing, self-consumed, spandex-clad, guitar-hero rock star.
Targeted at school-age kids, the campaign saturated the airwaves, magazines, internet, social media and even the school campuses of California teens with the band’s wildly over-the-top images and performances extolling the “milktastic” health benefits of drinking milk.
The campaign consisted of a half-dozen commercials, three music videos, an interactive website, myspace & facebook pages and print ads in Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Cosmogirl, Rolling Stone andPeople Magazine among others. Over 750,000 school book covers were also distributed to California high school students as part of the effort. White Gold and The Calcium Twins also released a five song EP available on numerous music sites including Rolling Stone and iTunes. There were also White Gold & The Calcium Twins nail polish, nail files, compact mirrors and magazine covers distributed to salons throughout California.

In support of the campaign, Sonya and Sabrina went on the road to New Jersey and Philadelphia on a “Welcome Back” School Tour. They spoke at their former schools and at Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. The twins were also honored with a proclamation delivered by Mayor Robert Romano declaring November 29th “The Millen Sisters Day” in Vineland, New Jersey.
They were part of the Spring 2010 Los Angeles Downtown Fashion Week. Both Sonya and Sabrina modeled in famed fashion icon Alakazia’s Couture Hat collection with fashion show attendees Tichina Arnold and Brooke Hogan with guest host Lisa Raye. The sisters were tapped to perform at The Critic’s Choice Awards After Party with guests including Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King Of Scotland) and fellow Oscar winner Helen Mirren (best actress in Queen) as well as Little Miss Sunshine’s Abigail Breslin.
Internationally they were featured in a two-page magazine spread in one of Spain’s top publications “Enlace Funk” profiling soul musicians including Jackie Wilson and Al Green.

The Millen Sisters performed at the Los Angeles Clippers game and were featured in the L.A. Times newspaper profiling their journey to Los Angeles and the difficulties performing the National Anthem.
